We had a beautiful day for the 2019 Santa Cop Project on Saturday, November 9. We had over 90 volunteers join us that morning to cut, sand and assemble 70 builder block sets. This year, all of the wooden toys were given to the Lincoln Police Department to be distributed to children the officers encounter while on the job who need a little extra cheer this holiday season. In addition, the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation was able to give the Lincoln Police Union a check for $1,000. This will be added to the $27,000 the Union raised at the Santa Cop Auction on November 10. Part of that money will fund the Center for People in Need’s Toyland. It will also go towards their Shop with a Cop program which allows the Lincoln Police Department to adopt families in need.
