Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation

The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation was established in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to the future of the home building industry in Lancaster County. The Foundation’s mission is to support the educational and charitable activities of the Home Builders Association of Lincoln. We support the community by contributing to community service projects focused on housing, providing scholarships for students pursuing a career related to the building industry and providing funding for other industry related educational programs.

Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation Events include the HBAL Golf Tournament, Remodelers Council Golf Tournament, Cruisin’ for the Trades Car Show, Sporting Clay Shoot and Santa Cop Project. Proceeds from these events are directed to the Foundation.

Building our community isn’t just a slogan. Each year, the HBAL and its members contribute time and money to a variety of community projects. We believe in doing our part to make Lincoln a stronger, safer community. Together we’re helping to build a better Lincoln!

The Foundation accepts tax-deductible contributions to establish scholarships and other programs.

Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build

Since 1992, members of HBAL have pledged time and money to build 17 homes for families in need. Providing decent, affordable housing for families is a priority for HBAL members.

In the summer of 2019, HBAL built its 17th Habitat home for a single mom of eight children.

In November 2019, over 90 HBAL members (and their children and grandchildren) gathered to make 70 builder block sets. In 30 years, HBAL members have made over 2,100 wonderful toys for the Santa Cop program.

All of the wooden toys were given to the Lincoln Police Department to be distributed to children the officers encounter while on the job who need a little extra cheer this holiday season.

The 2020 Santa Cop Project looked a little different last year. The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation collected new toys, games, etc. as well as monetary donations for the Lincoln Police Union. These donations were used to ensure a brighter holiday season for struggling families in Lincoln.
