SUMMARY:Associate of the Year Award Nominations
DESCRIPTION:Send in your nominations by October 15 \nPurpose\nThe purpose of the “Associate of the Year” program is to recognize an outstanding Associate member who has conducted themselves in an exemplary manner so as to bring credit to the building industry\, community and HBAL. \nEligibility\nEach nominee shall be an active Associate member of HBAL and must be a member for a minimum of three years on January 1. \nSelection Committee\nThe committee will have a minimum of five members. The committee shall consist of the President\, President Elect\, First Vice President\, Immediate Past President\, Secretary\, Treasurer and Executive Vice President. \nBasis of Selection\nThe basis for selection shall include the following criteria: \n\nBusiness conduct and experience (25%)\nHBAL activities/involvement (50%)\nCivic and volunteer activity (25%)\n\nOne Nomination Needed\nA single nomination assures the nominee’s consideration by the selection committee. Each nominee will be considered on the basis of the criteria\, not on the number of nominations. Call the HBAL Office at 402–423–4225 if you have any questions. \nDeadline\nSubmit your nomination via email to HBAL before October 15. DESCRIPTION:A Message from Your HBAL President \nAt my installation ceremony in January\, I shared a few “Executive Orders” to accomplish in my year as president. Executive Order #2 was simple in words but big in impact: “Give to those in need.” \nNow\, it’s time to make good on that promise. HBAL is launching a hygiene drive to benefit the Lincoln Hygiene Network\, an organization working tirelessly to help our homeless neighbors and others in need. \nAccess to basic hygiene items is something many of us take for granted\, but for someone without a home\, these essentials can restore dignity and open doors to opportunity. \nMost needed items include:\n– bar soap\n– deodorant\n– period products \nHow you can help:\n– Drop your donation of new\, unopened products at the HBAL Office between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.\n– Don’t have time to shop? Send a cash/check donation to the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation and the shopping will be done for you!\n– Organize a mini-drive at your company and encourage your co-workers and employees to join in! \nDeadline for donations is Noon on Friday\, September 5th. \nTogether\, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Let’s show Lincoln what HBAL’s generosity looks like in action. \n– Jereme Montgomery
