Happy New Year! I hope the holiday season has been good to you so far! My name is Heidi Polacek and I am the new chairperson for the Remodelors Council. I have been with Lincoln Cabinet for 13 years, and co-owner for the past three years. I have been married to my husband, Karel, for seven years and we have two beautiful daughters. We live on an acreage south of Lincoln in a 1940’s house we always seem to be remodeling!
Enough about me, here is what’s going on in January. Our first meeting will be in the newly remodeled HBAL board room on January 22 with guest speaker Steph Vanous on “Human Resources and Its Impact on Business Success.” Please join us to check out the new space and learn a little over your lunch!
The Home Show will be quickly upon us, which means we will need your help and participation. If you do not already have a booth, be sure to contact the HBAL office to secure your space. We will also need volunteers to help with the Food Bank House. We will pass around a sign up sheet at the January meeting. If you are not able to attend the meeting and still want to sign up contact Jennie for a time.
I am very excited about this year’s events. We have some great tours lined up, some old favorite activities and some new ideas to come! Stay tuned!
