Fall is finally here and so is the Fall Parade of Homes. The Parade starts October 3 and runs through October 10.

HBAL hosted a Lunch and Learn with Rural Water District 1 on September 22. This meeting was well attended by our members. Jordon with Rural Water District 1 provided information about the moratorium on water taps in the district and the reason for the moratorium. Summer months are the months with the greatest water usage in the district…think sprinklers! As builders, we need to take part of the responsibility to educate our customers on proper water usage. Once sod is established in two weeks, be sure to show your client how to reset their sprinklers to run less often. Lawns which are stressed grow deeper roots to find water and need water less often.

On October 6, HBAL members will have the opportunity to learn more about the 2050 Comprehensive Plan update with a presentation from David Cary, Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Director. At 4:30 p.m. David Cary will have a brief presentation followed by the opportunity to have your questions answered. Click here to find out more information about the Plan. If you are interested in future growth in Lincoln and how your business may be affected, I urge you to attend.
