Lead Training
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other local and state regulatory agencies require EPA lead certification to work on projects that may have lead paint. There are several lead paint certification courses you can attend to receive your EPA lead certification. If you do work or plan to do work that may impact lead paint, then you must be EPA lead certified or you could face fines of up to $37,500 per day, per infraction.
The EPA has developed several lead paint certification courses and only accredited training providers can teach them and issue EPA lead certification to students. Lead paint certification courses vary in length due to the complexity and detail of the training program.

The goal of this event is to lead new potential construction industry candidates and incumbent workers to opportunities for training, job placement and rewarding careers in the construction industry.
For more information on the Construction Career Day, please contact Jereme Montgomery at (402) 525-5535 or email Jmontgomery@stephensandsmith.com.
The Renovator refresher can only be taken by people who have taken the Initial Lead Renovator class and are NOT expired. We have to have a copy of their last certificate of training showing that they are not expired to be able to attend the class. The initial certificates are valid for 5 years, but some may have taken an online refresher and they were only valid for 3 years.
The renovator refresher is designed to review the regulations relating to working with lead in pre 1978 homes and update people that are already certified renovators to any changes in the regulations since their last class. The refresher course is 4 hours in length.
Please contact HBAL at 402-423-4225 if you are interested in taking this class.
