Building a Stronger Future for Housing in Lincoln

Decisions made by local and state leaders can affect where homes are built, how communities grow and what it costs to create new housing. The Home Builders Association of Lincoln works to ensure housing professionals have a voice in those conversations.

Through industry education, government involvement and HOMEPAC, HBAL supports informed decisions that recognize the importance of housing to Lincoln and communities across Nebraska.

Why Housing Advocacy Matters

Housing Policy Affects the Entire Community

Housing is about more than the construction of individual homes. It affects the people who want to live and work in our community, the businesses that employ local professionals and Lincoln’s ability to grow responsibly.

Policies related to development, infrastructure, building requirements and housing costs can influence what gets built and who is able to call Lincoln home. HBAL helps bring the experience of builders, remodelers, suppliers and other housing professionals into conversations that shape our community.

This work supports a healthier housing environment and helps public officials better understand how their decisions may affect homeowners, future homebuyers and the professionals who serve them.
