Supporting the Future of Lincoln’s Home Building Community
The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation supports the educational and charitable activities of the Home Builders Association of Lincoln.
Through the Foundation, HBAL contributes to community service projects focused on housing, provides scholarships for students pursuing careers related to the building industry and funds other industry-related educational programs.

Scholarships & Student Design Contests
The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation supports students pursuing construction-related education and recognizes those exploring careers in residential design.
Scholarships
The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation awards scholarships to southeast Nebraska high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college, university or technical college and pursue a construction-related field.
The Home Builders Association of Lincoln and Remodelers Council each award $1,000 scholarships open to any eligible senior.
The $2,000 President’s Scholarship is available to a senior whose relative is an HBAL member or is employed by an HBAL member.
High School Design Contests
Winners of the High School Interior and Residential Design Contest are featured at the Nebraska Builders Home & Garden Show each February.
Students are also recognized during HBAL’s Tribute to Youth event in April.

Southeast Community College Scholarships
The Foundation also funds $750 scholarships for students enrolled in construction-specific degree programs at Southeast Community College. Applications for these scholarships are available through the Southeast Community College Educational foundation.

2026 Remodelers Council Golf Tournament

2026 HBAL Golf Tournament
Proceeds from this event support the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation which supports community service projects focused on housing, provides scholarships for students pursuing a career related to the building industry and funds other industry related educational programs.
2026 Tribute to Youth
Every year, we celebrate outstanding young people who have excelled in programs we sponsor, such as the Interior Design and CAD Residential Design Contests. Scholarships are also awarded to high school seniors who are continuing their education in a construction-related field.
2025 Santa Cop Project
Every November, HBAL members gather to make wooden toys to be donated to the Lincoln Police Department. Officers distribute these toys to children they encounter while on the job who need a little extra cheer during the holiday season. Since 1988, HBAL members have made over 2,300 wonderful toys for the Santa Cop program.
2025 Sporting Clay Shoot
The Home Builders Association of Lincoln’s Annual Sporting Clay Shoot is held in October at Oak Creek Sporting Club near Brainard, NE. It’s a beautiful time of year for participants to make the short drive north of Lincoln and support the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation.
