Last week we shared why the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation was established in 2009 as a 501(c)3 charitable, non-profit organization. Its mission is to support the educational and charitable activities of the Home Builders Association of Lincoln. The Foundation is governed by a separate seven-member Board of Directors with HBAL’s Executive Vice President serving as President.
The Foundation’s goals are:
- Educate the youth of Lincoln and the surrounding area about the home building industry.
- Provide scholarship assistance to graduating high school students and college students who are preparing to enter the construction industry.
- Assist families in need to gain safe, suitable housing and improve their living conditions, including providing funds to Habitat for Humanity.
- Contribute to charitable projects and causes suggested by our members which fit the Foundation’s mission.
