Throughout the year, HBAL offers events that give members a chance to step away from the office, bring the family along and connect with other members in a relaxed, fun setting. From Family Night to our annual Soup ‘r Chili Contest, these events are a great way to introduce your family to the people and organizations that make up the HBAL community.
Help Make Christmas Special with Santa Cop
One of the easiest ways to get the entire family involved is through our Santa Cop Project on Saturday, November 7.
Every November, HBAL members gather to make wooden toys to be donated to the Lincoln Police Department. Officers distribute these toys to children they encounter while on the job who need a little extra cheer during the holiday season. Since 1988, HBAL members have made over 2,200 wonderful toys for the Santa Cop program.
We’re switching things up for this year’s Santa Cop Project and will be assembling 50 parking garages. Whether you can stay for 30 minutes or the entire morning, your time makes a difference. It’s a simple way to turn your membership into an opportunity to give back—and it’s something the whole family can participate in. It is a fun way for students to earn service hours, and we’ll have projects for all ages and skill levels.
