What has the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation accomplished toward the four goals it set for itself when it was established 15 years ago?
Goal 1: Educate the youth of Lincoln and the surrounding area about the home building industry.
We’ve supported:
- Residential Design and Interior Design Contests for high school students
- “If I Could Build a House” contest for elementary students
- Lighthouse’s Trades and Industries Pathway Program
- Construction programs and SkillsUSA chapters at area high schools (Lincoln Public Schools, Pius X, Waverly, Norris)
- The Career Academy, a Southeast Community College/Lincoln Public Schools collaboration
