Tell us about your family. | I have two daughters, both in the medical field. A twin brother and a sister both living in the Grand Island area. |
What would be the theme song of your life right now? | Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, LOL |
What are you currently reading or listening to? | I listen to a lot of music. Depends what kind of mood I’m in when it comes to the type of genre. |
What are you currently binge watching? | Of course, Yellowstone. |
Best restaurant you’ve ever been to? | Can’t say that I have a favorite restaurant. I like to try small town eateries. Food always seems to taste better. |
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? | Pizza from the Isles Pub & Pizza |
Favorite place you’ve traveled? | Germany, I was stationed there for awhile when I was in the Army. The building architecture there is amazing. |
What did you want to be when you grew up? | Helicopter Pilot. |
Where are you from? Where did you go to school? | Loup City, NE / Loup City High |
What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know? | That I spent 25 years in the Army\Army Reserves. A couple of deployments as well. |
What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life? | I feel that I am really good at leading and empowering people. |
If you could have a super power, what would it be? | To be invisible. |
When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time | Hanging out with friends and helping them out with their construction projects. |
Who is someone who’s made a big impact on your life? Why? | My dad. We grew up on a farm and were taught how to be responsible as to what we do and how we do it at a very young age. |
If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be? | General Patton. He was a amazing leader and knew how to get things done. |
What do you/did you love the most about your job? | Knowing that I was a part of a building project when I drive by it. Meeting people as well. |
What experiences and past roles have led you to where you are today? | I think growing up on a farm and being a First Sergeant in the Army Reserves taught me how to be accountable and responsible for other people and the things I do. |
What career advice do you live by? Who gave it to you? | Do what you say you are going to do. |
What are your future goals and aspirations for your career? | To grow the Eastern NE market and be the top sales person\account manager for my company. |
How long have you been a member of HBAL? | A little over a year. I was also a past President and on the Board of Directors with the Central NE Home Builders Association in Grand Island for 10 years before I moved to Lincoln. |
How has your career benefited from being a member of HBAL? | Networking has to be the biggest asset. Also keeping up with building trends and codes. |
What is your favorite HBAL event and why? | Car show. It’s just neat to see all the old muscle cars of the past. |
Any tips or advice for new HBAL members? | Get involved. Things are changing in our industry daily. |
