The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation awards scholarships each year to high school seniors who are entering college to pursue a degree related to construction. In normal years, these students are recognized at HBAL’s Tribute to Youth event in April. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Jacob Brouillette
    Jacob is a senior at Hastings St. Cecilia. Jacob was the football team captain, participates in dive, track and field, band, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, Mayor’s Youth Council, School Unity Board, Student Campus Ministry, men’s choir, along with volunteering at Camp Kateri and a homeless missionary for Christ in the City. Jacob plans to attend UNL, majoring in construction management. Congratulations Jacob.
  • Lydia Kramer
    Lydia is a senior at Lincoln East High. Lydia is active in cross country, track, tennis, art club, National Honor Society, President of Venture Crew 25, volunteers with her church, Fresh Start, game school project, family literacy program. Lydia plans to major in architecture at UNL or Kansas State. Congratulations Lydia.
  • Nicholas Dungan
    Nicholas is a senior at Lincoln Northeast High. Nicholas is active in football, track, baseball, National Honor Society and is an Eagle Scout. Nicholas plans to major in welding at Southeast Community College or Wayne State College. Congratulations Nicholas.
  • Tanner Green
    Tanner is a senior at Lincoln Southwest High and also attends the Career Academy. He is completing his second year in the Residential Construction Pathway. Tanner works as an assistant teacher at Academic Advantage. Tanner plans to major in residential construction at Southeast Community College. Congratulations Tanner.
  • Gavin Stelling
    Gavin is a senior at Lincoln Southwest High School. Gavin participates in golf and theater productions. Gavin plans to attend UNL majoring in architecture and hopes to also acquire his masters degree in architecture. Congratulations Gavin.

Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation President’s Scholarship
The President’s scholarship is awarded to a student who has a parent or other relative who is a member or employed by a member of HBAL. This year’s winner is Jackson Jones, son of Brad and Kari Jones with Prestige Painting. Jackson is a senior at Norris High School. He participates in SkillsUSA, National Honor Society, Positive Behaviors Interventions and Supports. Helping his father paint homes influenced him to pursue a degree in construction. Jackson is planning to attend UNL or Wesleyan and major in construction management. Congratulations, Jackson!
