The Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation awards scholarships each year to high school seniors who are entering college to pursue a degree related to construction. There are also three $1,500 scholarships available to students already enrolled at SCC-Milford in a construction related degree.

The $1,500 President’s scholarship is awarded to a student who has a parent or other relative who is a member or employed by a member of HBAL. This year’s winner is Jasper Bryce, son of Jason and Jeri Bryce. Jason is employed by Stephens & Smith Construction. Jasper recently graduated from Pius X High School and will be attending SCC-Milford and is in the Building Construction Technology program.

Dominic Joyce received one of two $1,000 HBAL/Remodelers Council Scholarships this year. Dominic recently completed his senior year at The Career Academy, is planning to attend SCC-Milford and majoring in Building Construction Technology.

The second of the two $1,000 HBAL/Remodelers Council Scholarships went to Brandon Benitez. Brandon is a 2021 graduate of Pius X High School, is applying to SCC-Milford or UNL and anticipates majoring in Construction Management.

Scholarship winners are honored at HBAL’s Tribute to Youth event typically held in April. This year’s event was not held due to the pandemic. Although we are not able to honor them in person, we are excited to highlight them on our social media channels.

We encourage everyone to share information about the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation Scholarships with future candidates who you may know or meet throughout the year.
