The Home Builders Association of Lincoln’s (HBAL) Spring Parade of Homes is the week of May 8-15. Every spring and fall, HBAL organizes a Parade of Homes for the public, offering potential home buyers a great opportunity to walk through brand new homes and meet the builders. Beginning Mother’s Day, May 8 through Sunday, May 15, homes will be open weeknights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and will feature a number of local home building companies at various locations around Lincoln. It has been a challenging year for home building. Working around Covid and material supply disruption, creeping prices and the potential for rising interest rates, has made this a crazy building season, but that makes for an appropriate time to look at what these builders have done to create a place which makes a home.
