Tell us about your family. 
I’ve been married to my awesome husband, Jim, for 22 years! We each have two children, and together we have six grandkids—three girls and three boys, ages 23 to 9.

What would be the theme song of your life right now?
“Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

What are you currently reading or listening to?
Mostly podcasts and the Bible.

Name a recent movie you watched that blew you away.
The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

Best restaurant you’ve ever been to?
Filomena Ristorante in Washington, D.C.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Breakfast.

Favorite place you’ve traveled?
Alaska.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A veterinarian.

Where are you from? Where did you go to school?
Crete, Nebraska — graduated from Crete High School.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about you that most people probably don’t know?
I sold the largest calf in Omaha at age 8—1,500 pounds! I even got to be on KFAB radio that day.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever done?
Took a group of gals to a restaurant in D.C. based on a client’s recommendation… I’m not sure any of them have fully recovered.

What is your greatest talent that you don’t utilize in your daily work life?
It takes all my talents to be in the real estate industry!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Superwoman.

When you’re not working, how do you enjoy spending your time?
Watching sports—or attending them.

Who is someone who’s made a big impact on your life? Why?
My dad. He taught me the benefits of hard work and integrity.

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
Congressman Flood, to see what a day in Congress is really like.

If you could have dinner with one famous person from the past or present, who would it be?
President Trump.

What do you love most about your job?
Helping people achieve the American Dream of homeownership (wealth building).

What experiences and past roles have led you to where you are today?
My ex-husband and I purchased several investment and flip properties in the ’70s. When I found myself unemployed and deciding what to do “when I got big,” a girlfriend reminded me I was already well-versed in real estate. She was right—and that was 34 years ago.

What career advice do you live by? Who gave it to you?
Get up and go to work. Something will happen vs staying in bed. My dad embedded that into me.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be? Why?
Someone like Jo Lewis—an idea person—so I can help bring their action plan to life.

What’s one skill you’d like to develop or sharpen this year?
AI.

What are your future goals and aspirations for your career?
To continue helping people build their future wealth by investing in real estate as long as I am healthy.

How long have you been a member of HBAL?
Over 30 years.

How has your career benefited from being a member of HBAL?
I’ve had the opportunity to represent builders and network with so many great people who are part of HBAL.

What is your favorite HBAL event and why?
The Chili Cook-Off—the competition and the fantastic soups from the participants.

Any tips or advice for new HBAL members?
Get involved! Find a committee or event that interests you and enjoy the journey. You won’t be disappointed.
