Well, here it is, my last message as your YBP President. It’s crazy how fast this last year has gone. This month I’ll be passing on my presidential duties to Blake Pittack with Blake Builders. Blake is a great guy and I know YBP will be in good hands with him leading the group. The official transition will take place at the YBP Holiday Party on January 28 at Rosie’s South. Join us for the Hap, Hap, Happiest Christmas Party this side of the nuthouse! There will be raffle prizes, great food and maybe a little eggnog.

During the Christmas rush, it’s important to remember those who aren’t as fortunate. So this year, YBP is collecting toiletry donations for the People’s City Mission. You can drop these off at the HBAL office or our holiday party on January 28.

In 2022, YBP will give our members an opportunity to meet with HBAL board members and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Association. Many times I’ve heard people say they had no idea all that HBAL does until they got on the board. This is your chance to find out! There will be three YBP lunches immediately following an HBAL board meeting, the first being March 3. I encourage you to get involved, not just with YBP, but HBAL as well. Whether it’s hosting a Hard Hat Happy Hour, joining a committee or volunteering at an event, contact the HBAL office to find out how you can get involved. Speaking of events! I’m very excited for HBAL’s “Cruisin’ for the Trades” Car Show on May 1. See page 21 for more details!
